whats the drive like from reno to tahoe in mid-march ?
just booked my trip and am curious. i know you gotta go over a pass to get into tahoe from reno(cant remeber the highway#), but is ice still a problem day or night in mid-march ? (just trying to think of others as i am from texas and texans dont know how to drive on ice.)

depends...if they are in the middle of a 40" dump like they were yesterday, then I'd suggest chains. Or maybe a snowcat. The road is pretty mellow otherwise up I-80. If u go thru Carson City it's all good cause the March sun melts the roads off pretty quickly....

Depends on the weather - slick going up, dry coming down today.
A little sunshine makes all the difference, but it's weather. Tell me what it's going to do in two weeks and you're bound to get rich with the Weather Channel.
