um, sorry, forgot it's in the lounge (which is supposed to be looser than the public pages). It's a thread about who we don't see anymore on epic 'cause they stopped comin' 'round or got banned or TimedOut. Mods/owners don't like it that we're discussing their actions and banned members - several of which are over here, thank god.

Was reading it when it was out in the open. Several (not all) of the people mentioned were plain old attention whores and/or drama queens, they evidently don't, or didn't, get the recognition in real life they thought they deserve, so they acted it out online, and it's hard to believe anybody sincerely misses them.

I figured the OHC B-Squads dust-up was a good excuse to cut down the amount of time I spend on ski sites. I think I might've been back once since.

Apparently there is now a points system for infractions, with certain totals resulting in time outs and eventually banning. WTF indeed, it was not like that when I joined.

Also, I didn't pay to post, I contributed to a community I got a lot out of. Mags should understand that idea.

This whole thing brings up a question: Who is the guy who's name is never to be mentioned there again and what did he do? I think he skied with a group from EpicSki (Venus Flytrap here?) and there was some talk about him. What the hell was that all about? Also, yeah, I'm a little shocked at the mod gestapo attitude showing up there. G-strings are a little too tight.

Gonzostrike/Uncle Crud. He posts here now, but not nearly as much or with as much emotion as he used to. We were told that he threatened legal action against admins at epic, both personally and as a unit, and that he threatened to sue if his name was even mentioned there. Thus, the ban and the gestapo attitude toward mentioning him. He's a lawyer, and an extremely good one from what I've been told. (Care to chime in gonz?)

I've always liked him, as he was never afraid to call people out for faulty logic or shitty inferences. Yeah, sometimes it was over the top, but we can all be guilty of that.

It was moved out of the view of the public actually, because it called to question the decisions of moderators, which is strictly against the rules. The thread was closed by the chief of discussion suppression.
