    Gulmarg Gondola.

Last I could find online the Gondola is broken down. Supposedly up to a month before it is fixed. (In India time, who knows how long) If anyone has any information on the situation I would greatly appreciate if you would post it.

    good news

I just spoke with my contact in Gulmarg. The Poma engineer is on site and the Gondola should be repaired today. It has been down for 11 days. Bring on the pow pow.

    sporadic

I know the gondola is running, from what I have read at thelineofcontrol.com, but it seems to run random hours. i am sure if you post a message on the site above eric will be happy to answer your questions.

i was there for 2 weeks last month. the gondola was down for 13 of 14 days but we were skinning to the top when it was clear. after a few days of epic decents i changed my stance on the lift opening. I was stoked it was closed, a few of us had the entire alpine to ourselves everyday.

I'm with Stu... it's better w/o the upper gondola.

they got some new snow ~12th, but i don't think it was an epic dump. Down low (Drang, Baba Reshi) didn't have the coverage to make things worthwhile, they'll need a couple meters.
