yes, I know, untracked is about 45 minutes from me. But, if you lived in Maine you would understand the Big Al's joke. Big Al's is a surplus store, it's prolly not funny if you haven't heard his tv commercial...

    Good find.

And this is very nice comment for epic(!), damn those guys are finally getting it...

I have got to try out almost every important ski for 2008 and in my opinion there is not much need for skis under 90mm's in the waist even if those that just ski on the East Coast.

Well shit, I like to call Als ski barn "Big Als" for the big prices and for reference to South Park's infamous Big Gay Al. I've only been to Maine once, Portland and Falmouth. Therefore, I'm sorry for confusion. I'm unaware of the Big Als of which you are talking about.

I want a pair of Katanas, but even more so, I want snow to fall in California.

On the other hand, when buying long distance via phone or web, it's nice to deal with folks who have a clue. When I've had a "need" for relatively hard to find things things like Salomon 130 brakes (perfect no-bending fit on Pontoons) or the fattest brakes for Railflexes (which damn near everyone else gets mixed up with std Tyrolia fats - no matter how many times you explain it) the folks at untracked/Al's have been on top of it. At least in my experience, they've known their products & gotten me the exact goods I wanted exactly when promised (or sooner) - and been fair on shipping. Beats a two week thrash (including reshipping) with often clueless people - just for trying to save a few bucks.

And for items they, or anyone else, stock that are truly overpriced relative to what others are charging, well the market always speaks...
