    Backcountry.com pickup??

Is there anyway I could pick something up from backcountry? Seems idiotic to order stuff in UT, have it shipped (quickly) to MD, then promptly put it in a bag and board a plane to UT.

Unless of course backcountry stuff ships from all over the place. Just wondering, is all...

They have a retail shop on site - you can buy anything there. They literally radio people in the warehouse and bring the items up front. Also I was told that if you place an order and immediately contact them you can specify an on-site pickup (but i would double check that prior to ordering).

Where are you staying? Have them ship it to your hotel?

Yes, I've done it several times.

Call them after placing your order and request on-site pick up rather than delivery. They will credit your account for the shipping. It also helps if you have your order number readily available.

Maybe Backcountry has a radio button to select pick up rather than shipping, but SAC doesn't.

Hint to all the Backcountry folks: add a pick up option to the shipping menu and you'll have fewer phones call with such requests.
