40-50 more days of winter like we've had lately, and nothing will be open.

hey splat, that's awesome that you guys are constantly improving the product. i can see the benefit that this will have for longevity, but any idea what impact it has on the weight of the skis? i'm sure they'll be titties either way, i've had a great time shr3ding teh tahoe p0w this year on my 188s

With my massive post count I guess I can consider myself in the "In Crowd" . . . . nope, just a jong looking for good skis.

I laid down the almost 7 bills in early November and started trading emails with Pat. Coolest "company" rep I've ever dealt with. The kind of brief interaction that leaves you wanting to buy the guy a beer and bullshit for an hour or two.

I knew I'd be waiting and wasn't worried about it because my old sticks were still skiing fine. Late December I blew em' up with my under impressive skills and shared this with Pat to inquire the arrival date of my 188 soft bros. No pressure, just asking to figure out how long I was going to need to find an alternative.

Pat throws me back an email that offers up a pair of blems to ride until my "perfect" boards are completed. I hesitated, but it sounded like it was going to be a bit longer due to the core issues they had on the 188's.

I took Pat up on his offer and tired to give him my CC# to cover the shipping costs of the blems. All he wanted was my address and the blems showed up two days later.

How to buy Bro's . . . you shouldn't even think twice about it.

Does this mean my 188's will be here sometime next week?!?! [crossed fingers]

    Unfortunately, no.
To dispel any misconceptions, the skis don't pop out of the press and straight into a box. We could do that, but you'd be a little flabbergasted at what arrived. There's a ton of hand finishing that occurs once they're pressed. Then they go to Bobos for stonegrinds. We constantly have stacks of skis in their shop and they get to them when they can. They tend to take a bit longer than we wish they did, but we don't get nasty about it. They are doing a great job for a very reasonable price. Plus, we send many a maggot to Bobos for hookups and they always take care of them. As much as we wish we could get them out next week, there will probably be an additional week in the turnaround cycle. But I stop in Bobos every day to let them know how much everyone is waiting on them.
