    WARNING!! - NSFW!!!

Not really into thier music that much, but any self-respecting metalhead's gotta admit that Gorgoroth's live show is spectacular:

spikes, blood, sheep heads, fire, inverted pentagrams, razorwire, crucified naked chicks, cops shutting you down - what else could you ask for???

Falling Into (great Denver based melodic sludge, many of the same members from diarrhea till you die)

Across tundra (good slowish metal, but with terrible vocals and a little too much denver pride)

Job for a cowboy (i don't generally like pig squeals but their song entombment of a machine has the greatest breakdown ever made)

The Black Dahlia Murder (another band i don't really like but they do a really bad ass cover of paint it black)

My tastes can roll between hardcore and metal, but I'll add Norma Jean, Bury Your Dead and Killswitch Engage. Definately As I Lay Dying but they're very much on the hardcore end of the realm

Bury your dead is opening for Unearth, which im psyched about,
    the others are decent,
    as blood runs black,
    my children my bride
and the destro seem to be pretty good, much more hardcore than metal, cept for byd, should be a killer show though

    Wolves in the Throne Room

Most black metal dumb asses would consider this band untrve and not very cvlt, but they are just jealous of the (relatively) complex thought the members enjoy. They have a unique sound and are very good.

lately i've been listening to a lot of prong. i still dig on doom/stoner rock - spiral architect, electric wizard, melvins, fantomas, acid bath, alabama thunderpussy, etc, i like it slow, hard, and heavy. sun 0))) is good for sunday afternoons to disturb the neighbors. or reverend bizarre. the latest meshuggah is also pretty good. also check out frederick thordendal's special defekts.

p.s. and to all you youngsters - protect your hearing. i'm paying the price these days for the sins of my youth.
