Hmm. For some reason i couldnt care less about a new tool album. Huge fan, seen em twice back in the day, undertow and lateralus tours, but now the wait seems like I've just moved on. I find it hard to get stoked for a stadium tour too. Yeah, I'm getting old. /getoffmylawn

Same here, and I never really considered them metal, more of like progressive rock/ sleepy time music. I like Tool, just not enough to really get jazzed up about a new album anymore.

I did go to JMK's winery, Caduceus, a few months ago. Pretty cool spot in Jerome, AZ. Nice tasting room with great views of the desert. They sell some Tool/ Puscifer memorabilia there too.

Opiate and Undertow are very different than the later Albums.

After Undertow they took on a more heavy Pink Floydish long build up intro into some amazing riffs and lyrics, just sometimes feel like I have to wait too long for it to “kick in”. But when it does kick in it kicks ass.

Do you know what "Metal \m/" is???
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I’ve always thought of metal as any music that predominantly features super distorted and often/primarily palm muted rhythm guitar. Think chug chug sound. Of course the lines blur, particularly in stoner metal I suppose.

I wouldn’t call Killing Joke metal

industrial post-punk is what i would label them. no self respecting metal band would ever put out crap like this:

having said that, they do have their moments:

Hooboy, metal purism, there's no winning here. One of us will be Beavis, the other Butthead.

    Punk is metal.

I was talking more of this, which Spotify threw at me, for some reason. It's not like I know the rest.

Now, I'm outta here. You kids enjoy yourself. Don't get hurt!

Heh heh. Killing joke are hard core/punk/metal. Or atleast influenced metal. Metallica seemed to think so. Others covered them as well. Anthrax maybe?
