One month in any ski town...where?

I've got some flexbility in my work, and if we land the contract next week that it looks like we are going to land, it will allow me to work remotely for the month of February. Providing this happens, I've got to quickly figure out where the hell I want to go. I've got the type of flexible hours that will allow me to ski everyday, so I want to choose a location accordingly.

I'm trying to narrow down my options to a couple smaller ski towns and I could use some help. Here are the places I am not interested in:

-Jackson (Family that lives there and this is where I ski the majority of the time. Love it, but want to spend time somewhere new).
-I70 (skied most of the resorts a few times, somewhere new)

    Places I am intesrested in:

-Telluride - seems like a cool town, good terrain, lots of BC options for my equiped, but very green ass.
-Crested Butte - Funky little town? Good terrain.
-Banff - looks like a postcard. Very little knowledge of the town or the skiing. Not sure if a 1 month Ca stay is an issue on short notice.
-Big Mountain - Spent some time in Whitefish, always wanted to get back for a longer period of time.
-Baker/Glacier/Bham area - Love the area, have family there, never skiied Baker and don't have any idea what kind of town or lack there of exists.

    Any other ideas..suggestions. Much appreciated!

    Have you considered Steamboat Springs?

Rossland or Nelson, B.C. are uber-irie cool towns

tons of BC options, plus Red Mountain and Whitewater close by

Telluride would be cool but unless they have lots of snow, it's bony

The VT resorts are due for some dumpage. That'd be my choice.

What a great opportunity! If it was me, it would be Nelson or Alta, if you could somehow find a place to live that was reasonable.

Have to vote for Big Sky....Bozeman.....Bridger. Big Sky would be my choice since you ruled out Jackson. Also votes for Steamboat.

I would've picked JH first, but you already said no.

    Other picks:
    Rossland
    Whistledick
    Bellingham
    S Lake Tahoe

Do you want a ski town or the best snow?

For a quality ski town, it's hard to beat the Crusty Butt. The boat is also great for the hot springs after blower pow.

But CO can't compare to utah or whistler for pure snowy goodness and backcountry terrain, even though we are having a killer year.

That said, praise ULLR and I love colorado.

Whistler? Haven't they been getting hammered this year? Plus, the backcountry there looks awesome and they must have fairly stable conditions given the maritime snowpack and all. I admit that the Intrawest village leaves something to be desired, but the mountain is hard to beat.

It just occured to me that you'll be working remotely, so I assume that you need the Internets.

Shaw Cable is saturated in Rossland, so you'll have cable internet - fast and stable (sort of). Telus DSL is the other option, then you have the locals, like Netidea. You should check into what sort of connectivity options your ski town has - South Lake Tahoe isn't that great, don't know about the Colorado/Utard towns. The Whistler Village is probably well connected, but it'll set you back a pretty penny to live/ski there.

Bellingham: dumb idea, too far from skiing.

With your schedule, sounds like you'd benefit from having skiing right there, not an hour away.

    Whistler.
