But then I saw Paul, Ringo, John, and George up there in full color rambling about something or other for 20 minutes straight, and I really got a sense of how fucking interminable this sort of thing can be.” Liptak added that he had gained considerable understanding of the way a minute can be drawn out to seem like an eternity through the meandering conversations he has had with coworkers about Get Back.

I watched part one and was mesmerized . What a treat to watch them craft some of the best songs ever in a week in a time crunch. I love the synergy between John & Paul. Regardless of them not getting along outside of performing when they were composing you could really feel the love and respect while working together. I totally get why George was frustrated. He seemed more of a solo writer than a collaborator . 2 and a half hours felt like an hour to me . Looking forward to the rest of it.

I finally got through the three episode documentary. I really enjoyed it. I listened to the whole thing on headphones. It was wonderful listening to them create, practice, perform, goof-off, etc. It was great.

Signed up for Disney+/Hulu recently on a holiday special $2.99/month, and have been enjoying watching Get Back, and also Let It Be. Haven't got to Beatles '64 yet, but that looks to be really good as well.



On a somber note 44 years ago tonight John Lennon was shot on the streets of NYC. I remember working the line in a restaurant that night, and hearing the news percolate around until we were able to get out to a tv in the bar and see it confirmed. On Monday Night Football. So f'n sad, and weird.
