What was the name of the skier who really popularized the jet turn? (Not Killy)
    Lange Banshee?
    Corky Fowler?

I might be wrong Splat, but I think not on the Banshee & Corky.

Short ski? Kneissl . . . . Short Stars, Short Comps, etc.

I swore I wasn't going to come back to this thread, but I guess you gravitate to what you know. And just what the hell is a branny anyway??? Where do I go for SSL classes?

I have been racking my brain on the tall boots that were so popular for about 10 minutes around 1980 for some time. Were they Kastingers? And is that what you mean by high back?

And no, the Lange Banshee wasn't the first. That much I know.

My bad on not reading through the threads re: the Javelins. That, however is not the ski I was thinking of, as Javelins were fg with an epoxied edge. There was an earlier ski with a similar top design - wooden, screw-in edges, cream with a reddish brown stripe. I bought some in a sallie's in 1982 and mounted them tele. I broke them the second day.

    Okay, for the tele gear:

What was the first kevlar tele ski?

No, but the first two letters are correct. They were a plastic-leather laminate.

    Buster,

Did you stop taking your medication? irul says Heirling and you say "No, but the first two letters are correct." I say Henke, and you say I'm guessing! Then you give Molitor as a hint?? Man am I confused. Anyway, I seriously doubt that any of these brands brought out the first high back boot.
