That's fucked, especially at a place like Red. I pretty much have to lock my skis every time I go in the lodge even if they are 2 years old or I am paranoid some shitbag is going to jack them.

"Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it....

What's more chickenshit than fucking with a man's [skis]? I mean, don't fuck with another man's [skis]."

Being a true skier, how could you steel somone elses skis? Anyone but a dipshit knows a general ballpark price and to do that to a fellow skier! It is a crime that needs the death penalty, I don;t know abt you guy but I work damn hard for the cash to get my gear and when some lazy asshole steels it I wanna kill them, literally place a bullet in their head because they're a drag on society that will never do any good, if we had the same laws as those saudis and we cut an arm off there wouldn't be any crime.

When I was in high school we caught the person who stole two of my friends skis cause his buddy had a big mouth and happened to mention to me that they stole a few pairs of skis the day before. We ended up breaking into the guys house to get them back. They later threatened to call the cops and I just laughed and said they could if she wanted her son to get charged with grand theft. An investigator actually did call me but I told them straight out that I wasn't going to let him get word that we knew and give him the chance to stash them at somebody's house. I just laughed and said that his mom was pretty stupid to be calling when she knew he was stealing skis and that they should be the people the investigators should be concentrating on. I never heard anything about it after that. They just said in the future please call the police to get the stolen property instead of "taking the law into our own hands."

Just keep your ears open. As a patroller I'm sure they know enough people around the mountain to track the skis down sooner or later unless the person was from out of town.

There are many thing the Saudis are really fucked up about. Cutting off a limb for stealing is not one of them...
