kronkite, let me guess...red salomons. dude, red and orange never go together. I blame you for your recomendation. Unless they were silver salomons, in which case I'm not sure what to think.
And in other news, I got my plate from Andy today and it looks sweet. I'll post pics later. I thought it was coming already drilled for my bindings, so i'm a little bummed about that, but I'm just glad it's finally here!

Have folk seen what the guy in Limon is doing?
Drilling new holes in the ski and mounting the plate backwards, just to fit NEOX bindings.

(Know this message is old, but I'm looking into a 7tm-BD mount)

    Hemas,
I take it you mounted the 7tm w/o the riser plate? Did you mount pins cc?

    Thanks..

He seemed to be a good guy, I am sure he's just doing that to get rid of his stock. But I wouldn't do it, your still stuck with an heavy inferior binding/plate combo. Just pitch the plate.

I ghetto mounted my BD's toniite,
7tm w/ riser plate - ended up sawing the atomic plate in half and using it for the heel piece because the height turned out to be the same as the 7tm riser...

I'm going to sack up and drag 'em out for at least one day this spring. They can't be any heavier then those jaks...

Anybody know or can you measure the boot sole center mark on the ski (to the tail), for one of these plate style daddy's? I found 84.5cm for the '05-'06 ski, was wondering how it compared to these. Thx...

Just scored a pair of gen 1 BD's in shrink wrap. Would like to mount them directly to boards.

Do you have a picture of your BD's with the Axial2's?
    Which Axial2 did you use?

I used the Axial2 120's with lifters. I had to shave a little off of the toe lifter to fit in the channel. I actually like this ski better without the plate. I just had four huge days on Highland's opener weekend and love the ski more and more. I have the XXL's and haven't mounted them yet because I like the BD's so much.

My skis are in Aspen and I won't be there until late next week. I will try to get you some pic's, but I am going to have a thousand balls in the air. Just use the small drill bit(3.9?) and fill the old holes with glue.

Yes... I'm resurrecting an ancient thread but with good reason.

I recently scored a brand new, still in wrap, pair of Atomic Metron M2 IX, circa 2007 for $50! They didn't come with bindings but do have the pre-mounted plate that nobody seems to like. The plate is marked for Race, Centro and Neox bindings and I managed to find a set of Neox 12 RS.

My question is, do these bindings literally just screw into the provided holes or do I still need to drill?

I think just screw into holes.

but might be worth checking with your local shop?

Got 'em, mounted 'em. Pretty straightforward. Dropped the video on YouTube.
