Dios Mio! That sounds completely awful. BTW, had to laugh at the term "mixed-gendering".
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube.

You probably have to attend a series of summer lectures on hut procedures as a prerequisite to use the Mountaineers hut. Plus they'll want you to rope up when crossing the parking lot.

Don't forget the building-interior route-finding, hut-oriented first aid and hut ettiquette classes that are the preresquite for the hut procedure lectures.

Also you'll be required to wear the semi-official uniform of the Mountaineers.

Shorts over long johns, full length gaiters, Lots of fleece, Outdoor Research waterproof floppy hat and ancient 800 liter back pack.

10 essentials mandatory for all events - even movies at Queen Ann HQ.

Hey Doc. Mt Rainier and Mt Baker are #1 and #2 in the world record snow fall . If you like big dumps of heavy , wet snow the PNW is for you. Otherwise head to Utah for the dry smoke.

A famous ski instructor said" If you can ski the Cascades, you can ski any where in the world".

    True that!!!!!!
