Sorry I missed the party Lexi, unfortunately the closing festivities coincide with the middle of my workweek. Wish I could get down with y'all but I gotta just get my turns in and run. Hope to milk a few more good days out of the frequency card next week and do a little celebratin on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'd be stoked if we get a shit ton of snow the rest of April and May!

Well damn. Hard to imagine a better way for things to wrap up. Camera was acting up due to all the snow

But did manage to get one that was worthwhile...

Twas a great day to end the season on, just enough cream to keep ya hoverin over the crust. Somehow I got through it all without gimping myself again which was priority #1 this year. Glad to see everybody out havin fun and doin their thing, wish I coulda partied but I don't wanna rock the boat too much with my sweet work schedule these days. Base, you're gonna love skiing more than ever after they fix you up. Hope it dumps till we get a 100 inch base at some point this month. Always some unfinished business naggin at me after the lifts close.

Somethin I've been wondering a long while - why is the GNFAC forecasting synchronized with Bridger's operating days? As soon as Bridger closes, they're done even though there's lots of snow around. All their work seems to be field assessments all around the area, is there some sort of equipment they use at Bridger to make the low, fair, considerable, high, extremo forecasts? Yeah I know they do newsletters occaisionally before and after Bridger is open, but they don't do daily forecasts with the rating for the day.

Just a guess, budget. AFAIK- the avy center does not need B Bowl to put out the forcast. I'll ask next time I talk to MStaples.

any lifts still spinning in MT?

snowing and blowing hard on the ridge at 7pm. Snow consolidated some since yesterday but is still skiing well. Looked like some good sized sluff out of two way but we didnt get any thing to move in the sluice box. Back at it again tomorrow

Hopefully the east wind doesn't do too much damage, it wasn't too bad this afternoon but is forecast to get a bit stronger. Sluffing hard and fast in steep areas but things should be a little more settled in by tomorrow. I love second season!

wind was kind to fingers, refilled since sunday. Diving Board was deep, saw quite a few more sluffs when things cleared up for a few minuets. Seemed like most were on south facing runs off the nose. More of a crust beneath on that aspect? Three days in a row, back at it tomorrow.
