    Made'n AK mounting point.

I just picked up a pair of 189 Made'ns. I'm not entirely sure where to mount them, and I really don't trust any shop here in Los Angeles to know what's up.

I'll be skiing about 40% park on them, 60% Pow/Steeps/whatever (I'll be at Mammoth). I'm a pretty aggressive skier, I raced for years before I started skiing in the park.

Where is a good mounting point for them? I have heard +5...

Some more info: I'm 6'1", about 170 lbs, and the bindings are PX12Ti's.

    Thanks!

Depends on what you're doing with them. For park I'd go center mount or a few cm's back from center. For powder I'd mount at the traditional line or maybe + or - 1 or 2 cm's.

In my opinion for 100 percent all mountain these should be mounted at least +1.5.

I skied these about the same ratios as you 40/60 in a 179cm and loved them at +3.5. Since yours are longer you could go +4 or +4.5 or 5. Any of those would be ideal.

I have skied this ski at boot center and at +2. Boot center was great for pow and big mountain. +2 was better on the groomers and for every day use, i had pistols and had them mounted at +1 and liked that a lot it all depends on your style if you spend more time in the park go forward these things are soft and they float well due to size and flex.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

thanks for the info guys. I'm thinking I'll do +5, it seems like I will still have plenty of float in powder at that point, and i'm not a really heavy guy.
