    iskibc,

Your photos, your descriptions and the lines you ski are excellent - great TR! Can't wait for the next one.

Back in the day, say 1970s, the Aspen Valley Ski Club installed a jury-rigged rope-tow up in Montezuma. Apparently, it was powered by an old tractor engine and had a prodigious appetite for palms of gloves, mittens and hands.

FYI... the road is rougher than usual these days. Numbers of bumpers sheared from the front-ends of new-ish Suburu Outbacks: At least 1. Doh!

Great shots. I wish we would have gone somewhere in that direction. As you mentioned iskibc the northern mountains have very little coverage. We thought we still can get some turns in up at Rollins Pass, however the rough road put and end to that one. A flat made us turn around..... we did not wanna risk to get stuck with the donut (spare tire) somewhere on top.

    Bummer!
