1 new ACL
Well, 8 days out of surgery and finally back on a 'puter. Staying at my folks house, and the PC is in the basement, so I decided to not venture down the steps until yesterday, and then couldn't dig up the TGR password. That and I needed to take a nap from going down all those stairs Musta been at least 15.
Few people dropped by with gifts, all of them alcohol
Surgery went well, saw Doc today and he was very happy w/ progress. PT starts Tuesday. Not quite walking w/o crutches, but not that far away. And the dreaded straight leg lifts aren't a problem any more, at least not after rounding up all the muscles to complete the first one.
Guess that's it, glad it's fixed, look forward to getting out on the snow again (but at the same time wondering what I can do to avoid blowing a 3rd ACL - I'm out of donor patellar tendons here) [/gincognito]

You have/had three ACLs? Cool.
Glad to hear everything's goin' as good as can be expected. Here's hoping you're back on the snow sooner rather than later - I see a summer trip to the southern hemisphere in your future.
Sick and ashamed and happy (and didn't realize I had a patent on parantheses),

Good luck with rehab! Have fun with the prone hangs, I hated those bastards... As for the lack of replacements, there is the hamstring graft you could try next and the ever so popular allograph. I think the main problem with tearing an ACL more than once is that they can't replace it in the same spot so the biomechanics are a bit off. Anywho, careful with the leg and drinking, I was on crutches for my 21st, and it wasn't pretty.

I don't know who's being rebuilt more, you or your sports cars?
Heal fast. Do you want to be in charge of next years summit??
