RAGE Films premiere in Seattle this Thursday.

    Hi,
RAGE is premiering their latest film in Seattle this Thursday, OCTOBER 12 @ 7:30pm. The show will be at EVO and there will be plenty of pro signings, partying, product give away, and a showing of their film "Corduroy."

Join in for the festivities and have a grand ol' time.

Unless it's the first time a movie's been played to a public audience, ever, it's not a "premiere". Then it's just a "show".

And I'd go if I were in town. EVO knows how to throw a party.

Word. Evo parties are second to none. World Class. famous and infamous. If nothing else, Evo knows how to party.

Heh! Depends on what you care to expose them to! Really. But the normal course is film first and then the party so you should be ok taking them to the film and then ... uh ... you may wish to wander off.

They like to empty it better than they like to tend it. Oh, and I believe in learning to manage exposure early .

The trailer on youtube looks like 90% jibbing and <10% big mtn ripping. Has anyone seen earlier films? Dope rail slides are cool and all, but....

I caught the film last month. It's not bad. Best from Rage ... since Team 13 dumped them anyway. Too much jibbing for my taste .. but any amount is too much. Still less than one would expect. Besides .. if there is the normal Evo maddness following it will be worth it just for that. Don't ya' just love it when someone else throws the rager, buys all the booze and you don't have to clean up the mess in the morning?

How was it. I stopped in earlier in the day and was informed that no beer was going to be served. My brain linked jibbing and no beer together and my body decided to not show up.

Also, the lady said she would buy me the filet at XO Bistro--no brainer

    there was beer... sorta...

there was also a 7 dollar entrance fee. turns out that you could barter for it as i got in for 5 bucks, my GF got in for one rogue beer.

graydon, myslef and my GF shared a 12 pack of PBR but had to carry all our cans out. EVO seemed less than stoked — i'd even say salty — that the guy working the door had let us in with beer. there was a VIP spot up on the mezanine and if you were in the cool kid club you could go up there and watch the movie and drink off the keg. the view was much better up there.

movie was decent. lots 'O jibbing, but that was expected. it was fun to watch but i wouldn't buy it.

Bastages. The dude told me no booze. I should have taken the law into my own hands much like yourself. Thanks for the update BC-FLOW.

Lots of jibbing, but I felt the movie was solid. Highlights include three 250’+ plus cliff hucks, and Tom Waynes, KK, and Cody T. skiing really fast. Lots of jib-kids skiing low angle pow in the trees too, which was actually cool.

Booze Hounds… I feel bad if we—and the dozens of others who were brown baggin’—gave anyone heartburn, but you need consistency at events like this. If BYOB isn’t okay, I’ll abide, but don’t charge a cover and not let me sip from the barrel. That isn’t cool.

this is true. in retrospect — and out of my drinking fog — there was some good footage and it was over all a good piece of ski porn.

Jesus christ, if EVO is being stingy, then there is a problem of epic proportions, one which such employees as bdog and whonot should be accountable for. Because we all know Bryce is too busy.

On the other hand, regardless ofpaying some kind of bullshit cover, you guys are all being fags for putting up with that shit and not smuggling your beers in. I blame BC-FLOW for moving away from SQ99 and in with a girl. It all makes sense now. Maybe you can borrow some lip gloss from her for the next premiere.

Can't really comment much on the New "no Beer" policy at Evo. I wasn't there and am no longer part of the crew. Legend for parties unequaled in the known universe (people still talk of last years GOP) perhaps Evo has fiqured out that you can't run a solvent business if you trash your retail space frequently. Closing for a day, or part of a day to clean up after the night before is not a solid business plan. Relax. Evo is still a fine environment, great store and knowing them as I do I am sure there will still be some events of renown there. I don't know what the deal was with the cover charge. That is a real downer.
