Hot Toddy Recipes
With all the colds and flus and whatnots going around, many Toddys are being made throughout the TGR forums universe. I woke up to another day of sore throat this morning and decided it was time to fight the bitch. Here's my recipe:
1/2 lemon, squeezed
1 TBSP Honey
Shot(s) of whiskey
hot water
1 bag, earl grey tea
Oh how I love you Toddy. My throat already feels better and the cough seems to be retreating as well. So what is your recipe? Got any additions that will help even more? There is a liquor store here, and a big kitchen stocked with all the spices and herbs you can throw at me. I will do my best to try them all!You look like I need a drink.

I use Southern Comfort. It adds the perfect cough syrup touch!

There's nothing like a hot toddy on a cold fall camping trip...mmm...
I'm mostly curious what types of tea people use. Is earl grey the default? I've usually just done the basic honey/whiskey/tea but might have to try the lemon next time.

I use whatever tea happens to be laying around. If its to help a cold then I will try and get a tea that helps you sleep.

I think the SoCo sounds good. I like earl grey because the citrus flavor goes well with the lemon juice, but I might switch to a non-caffinated tea here. I've also heard cinnamon sticks and cloves go well...
You look like I need a drink.

My wife's krazy-ass-100-year-old-kraut grandfather's recipe: 1/2 part Verner's Ginger Ale; 1/2 part Seagram's VO. Heat. Drink. Repeat.
