    mounting invaders back???

hey there everyone... long time listner first time caller

just wanted to know if anyone has mounted a symmetrical ski back a little?

i have a pair of 179 07 line invaders and i dont want to centre mount them...
i have the 06 invaders and there just isn't enough in front of me!

    i also ski 179 05 public enemy's on 0, and 189 07 seth vicious's on +2...

just wondered if the ski would be hindered by being that little bit back?

and yes, the invaders are to be thrashed in parks... and as i'm moving to munich to ski austria, i'd assume many urban rails too!

    thanx

If they're park skis, mount them in the center.

You should mount them upside-down. I'd bet they slide better on rails that way.
You look like I need a drink.

nah, they're cheap capped skis... if i mount them upside down i'd only be able to butter and never carve... oh wait a minute

My bet is that you would probably get a better response at Newschoolers.com, but...
I suppose you could. You are about my size so I understand the problem. But I would still just mount them center.

yeah, the centre mount thing is fun... but i just want that bit more stability for landing switch... really just wanted to know if it effects the symmetrical sidecuts performance at all...

although you cant really carve on the invaders without carrying an anvil anyhoo... its really a butter ski

Invaders are symmetrical skis and are meant to be mounted true center only. If you mount further back from true center, the ski's performance will suffer just like an all mountain ski's performance suffer's when you mount it true center.
