Thumbs down Chump callout: "Keith" from Berkeley

    http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/spo/211240665.html

Salomon AK Rocket Lab Swallowtail - Powder Skis - $500 (berkeley)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Salomon AK Rocket Lab Swallowtail
    Retail is $998

If you want the most hardcore ski on the market this is it! These are the lab, which means they are hand made and inspected in a separate factory by Salomon’s top people. These skis are for experts

the pair I am selling is brand new never mounted, however I also have a pair for myself, and they rip. Nevertheless, don't take my word for it check out the reviews on Teton Gravity. Here is the link:
    http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=4324

The ski sounds large at 195cm (only size they are made in) but the swallowtail makes it ski 10cm shorter

    Here are the specs:
    Dimensions:
    130/95/114mm
    Turn Radius:
    25m
    Top Sheet:
Monocoque Titanium Spaceframe with Edge Platform (reinforced sidewalls)
    Base Material:
    Graphite UHMW
    Tail:
    Swallowtail
    Warranty:
    1 year

If interested call Keith at 858-349-9013

So he obviously reads this board, lives in Berkley, and has a phone number. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out who it is. Just call and ask what his TGR screen name is.
    OOOOOOOHHHH, I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!

ANON, flippers are a menace and this is a tight community for the most part: it's a form of protecting your fellow peers from getting a bad deal. Witness an EpicSki moderator calling out vailsucks on his catalogue peddling on this board; this sort of thing goes both ways and is really useful, you just need to search the archives for many examples of people avoiding a bad deal.

I have to say I don't see a problem in flipping things bought on steepandcheap. To me it's totally different from getting a good "maggot deal" on an item in gear swap and then turning around and flipping it. S&C is a public website anyone out there can buy from.

Yes. By redirecting all internet traffic through a secret Siberian server with access to the NSA user profiles, phUnk blended a virtual reality program into the the preference profiling program to make certain only maggots could get S&C on their browsers.

Yeah, why the fuck does it matter if some guy is trying to make a profit off a SAC purchase? If the buyer is too stupid to realize this, then good for Keith. I'm sure we've all made money off buying and selling something for profit- its called business.

That was the funny part - the seller linked to a thread where people mentioned they were $330 on SAC yesterday.
