Have fun I hope to run this race next year. I mean jog.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

Yeah i know, I was out ridng during registration- anyway i was sorta planning on racing in our series finale down here that weekend, but since registration I put in loads of time in the saddle, this just seems more appropriate.

No, I doubt it. This is more for fun and the challenge than anything. If I like it I might actually run it and train for it more as a race next year.

I'm in. Looks like the weather is going to be crappy. Why is it that it always rains when I do endurance races? At least I'm expecting the worst.

I should add that I've so far raised $640 in donations for Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports (#5 in the top 5 fundraisers). My goal was $500 - Woohoo!

If any of you maggots want to kick in a few bones $5 (please, nothing more than $5 donations), please go here: http://www.active.com/donate/VASS/TJD

    Bluebird, check PMs

    It has been cleansed.

I am not too excited about the rain either. I just hope the trails hold up. I am not nearly at the fundraising level you are, but I am around $230.

Doing the VT50 as well. Unfortunately rain is in the forecast.
That will make things interesting. Should be a good time though. This will be my first one.

Raised $435 for the VT Adaptive Ski and Sports! My goal was $200. Suhweeet.

All pagans out tonight for the Autumnal Equinox - do a NO RAIN dance for those of us who are racing.

    Thanks!

It was a long, long day. I will put some pics up later, but the quick rundown was an 11+ hour day, two broken chains and lots of mud. Despite our troubles we finished. We will be back, with many lessons learned from this year.

Good to hear you finished Bluebird. I also finished (albeit a little faster in 6:25). Overall, I had a great time and was definitely challenged by the ride. I can't wait for next year's race.

Yeah you did! Great time. Did you get caught in the rain? You also beat my wife's fundraising efforts by a couple bucks. We'll get to your level next year.

Guess I posted in the wrong place maybe I saw some of you on the trail. Great day and the Ben & Jerry Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream was awesome.

OK, it's not this weekend, but registration was yesterday. Anyone else get in? I'm looking forward to another round of torture this September.
