Gauging Interest Carbon Surfs (Red) w/TLT Adapter Plate and Skins
Thinking of selling this setup, sans the bindings. This is the newer 178 carbon surf (not up on their site yet??) that is considerably stiffer lengthwise than the old yellow surfs but did not have enough torsional rigidity to make it enough of an all around type of ski. This is definitely a soft snow ski as all the reviews stated and I chose to ignore. These skis were skied a total of about ~6 runs on last year and have a few scracthes on the edges and topsheet but are overall in excellent condition.
Some more pics can be found in this thread.

The TLT adapter plate makes mounting dynafits so easy I could do it, no drilling whatsoever.
Also, I have a pair of BD ascension clip fix skins cut to fit that are in perfect condition.
If someone on the board is interested in this setup for around $250-300, I'd be happy to sell it, otherwise I'm going to have to take it to ebay as I paid about 600 for these three items and need to offset the cost of my mistake somewhat.
Please post any offers in this thread.Last edited by Ireallyliketoski; 09-09-2006 at 09:47 AM.

Please re-read. Thinking of selling this setup, sans the bindings, which is celtic for "without the bindings"
I'm keeping the bindings, yeah, I know that's the best part. So to reiterate I'm just selling the skis, the adapter plates, and skins.

It's still a fantastic deal but not what I am looking for.

The deal includes the 178 surfs, the adapter plate, and the skins. Please post any offers in this thread, thanks. Damn, col_surfer you're a surf hoarder
, just curious are all your current surfs the newer red models or the older yellow ones, and what bindings do you ski them with?Last edited by Ireallyliketoski; 09-09-2006 at 09:52 AM.

They`re the older models w/o the inserts and both have Dynafit TLTs on them. The 178s are actually my GF`s, but I have a set of TLT demos I was thinking about putting on them so we could both use the ski. The drawback to this is the plates act as risers and changes the character of the CS. It`s a great lightweight set-up for backcountry powder runs.
I might consider a trade if you`re looking for skis, so PM me.

USPS.com estimates shipping skis from me to you at 125 dollars (parcel post). If that's the case then I'll have to pass on that deal.

$275, I pay for shipping. Deal?

OK, I think I was high on usps when I saw that price for shipping to AK, 2nd check and it's closer to 25 dollars for the shipping to AK, which makes more sense. That makes the two offers about the same, so let's do this since I didn't think that there would be that much interest in this setup on this board.
I'll either do first dibs on $350 + shipping, or if no one wants to pay that much by the end of the day on Tuesday I'll sell the setup to the highest offer still interested (if one still exists).
Thanks.
