It ain’t new snow, but old snow in Iceland is a good way to force the Turn.

Temps tanked through out the day and they are calling for snow down to 1200 meters. Summer is definitely over.

Finally feeling a tad turney this week; daytime highs around 80 (a week ago we were above 110). Lows are still only in the low 50s. Quantitative Turn occurs when lows finally drop into the 40s.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Slept in an unheated cabin outside of Steamboat last night and was happy to have a down blanket to throw on top of my sleeping bag. The Turn is here.

Massive typhoon about to steamroll summer out of Japan. Not quite the turn yet. But the heat is down.

33 degrees this morning. I guess that's about end for gardening season and time to start the snow dances.

Evening dirt ride, early sunset, comfy temp for parking lot beers followed by a 46 degree morning. Definitely feeling the turn in the INW. Bring on the fall rains and hero dirt.

Still waiting for the turn here in Seattle. Other than the shortening days it still feels like summer.

A few more leaves on the ground here and yet more on the trees starting to change colors. The bird migration has begun as I've seen and heard more than usual during the summer.

Though it's going to be a while until turns can happen here in ye olde Cascadia so I'm working on managing my stoke levels until such time that skiing is viable.

It was finally cool enough (66) last night to not run the fan over the bed all night and actually sleep under a cover. I think summer is over in So Cal praise Ullr.
