    108° today, not feeling it.

Idk, does the turn ever really happen here anyway? Probably not.

Spent the past week in Calgary and the Turn was definitely in the air. But despite the fall like weather we are Still a long ways away I fear. Itching for ski season.

Ski film trailers are starting to show up... definitely a pre-turn sign.

It's not the turn yet, maybe a quick flicker, but it sure feels good.
Where were you in the Uintas? I was up there with my kid when that storm came through. It was a nice one.

Wandering around the headwaters of the Weber river by Pass Lake. Cold slog out of there in the tall wet grass.
The turn happens in the Uintas in mid-August usually but I think this year has been wetter and colder than average up there...

Sky’s starting to look crazy and the nights are a little less warm, but still lots of summer juice to squeeze outta this one yet.

I just picked up some cheap groomer skis off here yesterday. I’m excited that I found them, but it didn’t yet feel like the turn.

Only red leaves I see are from saplings. Nothing at a little elevation. Flowers (weeds) are still coming out. Been a somewhat wet and mild summer. Some years the drought starts bringing out fall colors already with a little elevation.
That said, the animals have been acting weird. Birds grouping up like they're getting ready to fly south. Deer almost ready to shed their velvet and grow their winter coats.
Still time for outdoor shows. Seeing John Butler today
    No longer stuck.

I start looking for the turn around Labor Day. For me, the turn is when 80 degree days and 45-50 degree nights turns into 65 degree days and 35-40 degree nights.
F***ing Park City has perfect weather all year round.

Saw some tops of aspens and a few other leaves changing in Glacier National Park this week, and a few birds flying in formation. But it will be almost 90 here at home in JH, so that doesn’t really count.

Shit, I don't care if it's still summer here in. Austria. Wife finally agreed to go to Japan in jan-feb next season for some reason I haven't figured out yet. Just booked flights, first time for us and I'm fucking psyched!!! My brain has had the turn, if not the weather, already putting the gear together.

The turn comes in SLC when there is the first NW flow event strong enough to push the Lake Stink up into the Cottonwood Canyons. Miss that place.

Well, it certainly wasn't today. The SW flow pushed smoke from various fires all the way up to PC and into my lungs which were already suffering from the heat and dust. 86 when I got back to the car at noon. One of the hottest days I've been on the bike up there.
Forecasted lows on the Aquarius Plateau this weekend are low 50s. At 10,500' that is...

For sure. Some flocks of geese flying over Simi at night lately, no idea where they're going. Partying in TJ maybe, and headed back North.
