I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

46 overnight at the house in Murray. Rolled out at 6AM in my underwear to harvest my breakfast of tomatoes and immediately wanted to go back in and layer up. I stuck with it because getting cold for the first time in 6 months is a glorious treat.

Same here. It was a nice ride, cool and toward dusk. Really a nice 'fall' ride. Unfortunately, we're back into the 90's later this week. The Turn is hinting and toying with us but not here just yet.....patience, young Grasshopper.

The turn has come to Truckee (30F at the airport). It will turn back at least once before winter, like it always does.

Yup, it's here for us. Smells like it outside now with the recent rain. And one of the maples in my front yard has started to turn.

While I'm more stoked for winter than I have been in a while, I am bummed about the truncated summer. Seems like an earlier than usual fall this year. Maybe that's a good thing and it's a harsher winter? La Nina delivers?

28 degrees and first hard frost of the season at the base of Magic this morning. A few maples popping very red up on the mountain, a few in my yard have red edges.

Just as I thought--back to calm and warm again. It's definitely dust season on the trails. 4 seasons--Winter, mud season, summer, dust season.
