Tracy called me earlier today because she needed his last name to get upstairs in the hospital to see him.
I'm like "Plakespeare?"

So, he started this on Monday and didn't start feeling this bad till Tuesday.
He is on his 10th treatment and will get one more for this cycle at 2am. He then goes home for 2 weeks and will go back for another 10 cycles.
I have never heard him in this kind of a state, so it's really getting to me. He said thank you to all who have come by, but not to take it personally when he says he just needs to be alone and sleep.
He said he is weak, very weak. Feels like he wants to puke, has the runs and is in and out of sleep all day, everyday. It is taking it's toll on his body, but I did hear that sound of hope in his voice for just a minute. He is saying this will stop the spreading and possibly kill it and that to is what I am hoping for. Plakespear is tough and I don't know that I could chat it up with a maggot in that state, so props to him.
I'll update this when I hear from him again in a few days.
You rule it dude.you sketchy character, you

Not surprised he doesn't sound good, most patients on high dose IL-2 feel like they've been through a Rasputin assassination attempt by day #4.
Keep us posted.

He is my hero. He's got lots of energy for what he's been through, and as AC said he is turning it up to 11 tonight.
He's in normal clothes, and is looking cute in a retro Don Johnson scruffy way. (no shaving). He had a room full tonight and was feeling good enough for a small dinner. He's kicking major butt. Sending him some ++ vibes tonight around 2am eastern would be great because 11 treatments is hard work.
Thanks Splat & Dex for hooking me up with phone #s and the secret password to get past the desk troll.I'm just a simple girl trying to make my way in the universe...
I come up hard, baby but now I'm cool I didn't make it, sugar playin' by the rules
If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.

He was definitely kickin' it tonight. Crankin' that beotch to 11 around 2am, because 10 just isn't loud enough. For the shit he's been through, Nils was in pretty good spirits tonight. Round 1: Nils 1, cancer's ass 0
Hang in there bud, posi vibes from all......

Fact that plakespeare got through round one is not only admirable, but a good sign that he'll be tough enough for future rounds, which ultimately improves his odds of KCA.
Way to tough it out, mang, and good on ya. 'Best.
