KCPW is the epitome of what a local channel should be. I Listen to it as I drive around town for my job, great Guest DJ, local info and interviews, I enjoy randy Barton's 4-7pm weekday shows.

Also huge shoutout to VPR and NHPR

Regular DJ shift on KPCW, 91.9 in Park City (different station than KCPW down in salt lake), playing 'till midnight. Station management sucks, but plenty of solid programming and a core group of DJ's playing good music at night.

Shout out to WFCR 88.5 in western MA.

I meant KPCW in my post....Are you the DJ till midnight? I thought they went to BBC at 10pm? I have heard complaints lately that the new management sucks, def a different thing going on there nowadays, butI still love the music and community discusssion

They started the midnight programming right after new years with Friday night guys as guinea pigs. Midnight strikes, I push the BBC live feed button and hit main street hard before last call.

As long as we cover the PSA's/Lost&Found and play the underwriting spots without getting hammered on the air we get a lot of latitude after 9-10, which is when the live shows and b side material get played. Oh and Randy's the fucking man.

sick, I work over a Flannagan's across the street couple nights a week, I see ya in the studio doing your thing all the time, stop over for a drink sometime after work (..or during- just put in 'American pie' and run over)

I thought management came down on DJs for playing their own stuff had to keep it to whats in the computer? ...reversal for the better?

Management came down hard because some 17 year old douchebags thought it would be funny to have their friends on air swearing their balls off and playing music where every other word is "fuck". The policy is to only play whats on the computer, but some of us actually understand that if you stay away from rap and metal and avoid anything with fuck in the lyrics, you're set to go off the reservation.

Hah I find that the Kashmir-Layla combo works great for running down to the liquor store or an impromptu DJ safety meeting. The other Friday night guy will have the reigns this week, but I'll be back at it next Friday the 25th. Definately gonna swing by Flannagans after, or during...

KLNX 107.9 in the eastern Vail valley is our little gem. Maybe when I retire I will go spin some tunes at 3am.

KUNC near Fort Collins, 105.5, is really good. During an NPR pledge drive maybe 2 years ago, I switched to them, and never switched back.

I helped start that station way over a decade ago. Got the studio lease and the tower lease for $1, which is not easy to say the least (Magnus Factor). My name is still probably on the original LPFM application with the FCC. It went way downhill, but is on a shocking rising rocket ship of participation right now. Hell, even KUVO left the valley. That was a huge loss. I loved chatting with the DJ's in 5 Points asking for requests and giving them the on the ground snow reports for their powder missions with Miles, Max, Mingus, and Monk.

WFUV is always a solid. I went to Fordham. I DJ'd at WAMH back in the day. Would play my phish bootlegs and early EDM from 93-95 late late late at night. It was a huge hit (from something).
