'06 Stumpjumper Expert on the way
After a good 6 year hiatus from Mountain biking i just 're-upped' with a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Expert. I've been riding a bunch though lately on some of the local trails (Marsh Creek ~ 4 miles away, French Creek ~ 12 miles)
I did get the hideous green 'test bike' model (though never ridden) but got a pretty good price. There were none available in the local area, so I had the guy order one from the factory
My buddy has already nicknamed it the Incredible Hulk... I'll post pics in a week or so when it comes in.
Stoke!!

Congrats!!!! New bikes rule. Even if they are only new to you, well, tasty!
This touchy-feely Kumbaya shit has got to go.

Good bike to jump back in on. Were you on a hardtail before? If so, you will be shitting down both legs with how damn fun the full-suspension makes everything.
Keep it unclipped

I got the same ride a few weeks ago. It really is the best bike you can get for pretty much any type of riding. I've been communting on it, riding ladders and bridges, smaller drops, and long xc rides, you name it it does it well. I changed a few things but Its still pretty awesome...

about to buy a 2006 fsr expert
I came to this site to check out the reviews and it sounds good. I am also getting a green one used with 500 miles on it. Got it shipped for $700. Sound like I got a good deal? Appreciate the input

For a 2800 dollar bike, yeah probably. Post pics and the mag mechanics (myself included) will tell you more.

I've been trying to finagle a rocky mountain flow (same as slayer) from EMS, new for $800 (!) but they say they can't ship the bikes, need to be bought in person. on the wrong coast for me. anyways, if I can't get one, maybe someone here can.
