I was checking out some soundtracks to older msp films, which got me onto a Distillers kick recently. Hadn't made the connection that the lead singer is married to Josh Homme.

    This one was in yearbook:

Late to the Distillers train, but have been one of my new faves.

Nice, I take it they were good? Worth seeing at their advanced age?

Yes! For sure! They sounded great and had a lot of energy - they played a mix of old songs and slightly less old songs but with saxophone, etc. Well worth seeing if you get a chance, in my opinion!

Going through some old stuff and was reminded of Vision - I was pretty into them in high school. Good stuff:

If you listen to this playlist through it will take about a 25 minutes. And you'll feel better for it. If you've never gotten a voicemail like at the end of this song yr blowing it.

God Damn I love that band. I saw The Offspring on a Friday night and thought "not bad for a bunch of old dudes". Then I saw The Descendents the very next night. Jesus, they absolutely rocked. On the drive home I realized they are the same age or probably a little older than Dex and Noodles, but their set was incredible. Top 5 shows I've ever seen.

Ceremony - Rohnert Park is my favorite "new" album. Give it a spin if you haven't already

It's shameful that no one would let Rotten say anything. People should show more respect to their elders.

    Damn, that's quite a bill!

Here's a couple for those that are into midwest pop-punk:

I'll be there for the SLC show on Saturday. We don't get Bad Religion though. I'll be there for GG of Black Flag.

No. Fuck Fiddlers Green. Worst possible venue for a punk show. If they held it almost anywhere else, or any of those bands came to almost any other venue, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
