Now that the 30 year decided to join the rate rise party 5% is possible next week.
An almost doubling of rates in less than a year has to take a toll on price and demand.

So how in the hell does that size of mortgage make sense? Its not even a luxury property.
So i rent the ADU for $2000. I still have $6000+ mortgage payments. That means to qualify I gotta make at least $200k. Make 200k and live in that place?

Haha! I think folks are drinking Redbulls with chasers of double shots of espresso. I guess when RE prices are where they are these days, and interest rates going up, folks need that kickstart to get going in the morning.
Seeing some bonkers stuff here in Central OR these days.

We have been hiking this area with our dog for the past 5 years. Lots of folks wondering where the water is coming from to operate this future resort. Beautiful area that would be best left undeveloped. But with Bend running out of lots for multi-million dollar homes, someone has to cater to the upper middle class insatiable appetite for 7 figure homes."We don't beat the reaper by living longer, we beat the reaper by living well and living fully." - Randy Pausch

Oh my…I’ve stepped on the honored and delicate sensibilities of the padded room. I’ve besmirched the good names of Benny Profane and Liv2Ski who bring nothing but joy, helpful camaraderie, and endless stoke. Fuck.

I and a couple friends have sold property and bought new houses over the past year. I am the only one who rolled the full proceeds of the sale into the new house (I had to to make the mortgage and tax hit palatable). Everyone else put maybe 20% down on the new joint and cashed the rest. A bunch went into renovations and such of the new place but still, seems silly to me but those Sprinter vans don't buy themselves.
