Well folks moving up from Cali need those new homes being built in ID.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/boise-are...100000784.html

Meridian’s Corey Barton, of CBH Homes, outlasted Toll Brothers, based in Port Washington, Pennsylvania, at the auction Friday conducted on behalf of the Idaho Department of Lands. Barton, through his Endurance Holdings subsidiary, bid $35.2 million and will pay $36.6 million after the auctioneer’s fee is added.

That works out to $129,816 per acre, compared with $21,277 in the appraisal. But even the appraisal price reflected the elevated price of land in the Treasure Valley as the Boise area’s population and house prices grow: The average value of irrigated cropland in Idaho in 2020 was $6,210 per acre, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Where you want to be is my old boss, where your company was deemed essential and you got to pocket your PPP loan, twice.

A whole hell of a lot of small business owners got hundreds of thousands of dollars free and clear and never missed a wink of sleep over Covid.

That math still probably works nicely if you're getting 4-6 homes per acre and they're selling for $600-800k per home.

My place went on the market today. Whiteroom Guardian is my RE Agent. His phone is blowing up ! It will be under contract in a day or two. This market is stupid, I bought it in 2009 and it had sat on the market 6-8 months with zero showings or interest. I bought it for way under asking.

Still, $130k/acre for alfalfa fields in Caldwell is nuts.

A friend of mine with an escrow company got PPP put it in a separate account and didn't use it and has been trying to give it back, but was told repeatedly to keep it. I think I posted that here a couple months ago...will have to see what happened. I know he did get a new Escalade...and was telling me Caddy was the way to go...hmmm

    As in "never been replaced!"

The way I read it is both are annual, so basically $170/mo. That's not bad.

Does it have an assigned garage/covered parking spot?

Fact, but I think quite a few of them missed a few winks before the PPP got off the ground.

Sold my house in AK in two days, then bought one in Montana sight unseen. This market is nuts, and so am I, apparently. Whatever.
