(NSR) Question about Beavers.
So we have had a bunch of rain in the past few days and I heard one guy say that we have had so much rain that the Beavers were pulling sticks out of their dams. I thought that he was joking then I was at a meeting today and another guy was saying that the Beavers in the pond behind his house had made two holes in their dam as the snow was melting. So this all leads me to the question do Beavers adjust the water level of their area to keep their homes dry or are Beavers just dumb animals who could not possible foresee water problems?
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

In a word: yes. If the water gets too high it floods out their den.

Beavers are pretty smart animals. The manner in which they manage their little ecosystem is pretty impressive when you look at it.
Did you know that they are the only other animal other than man that alters the environment to suit its needs?

Beavers do not have dens, Tipp.
Like skiers, their accomodations are called lodges.
