I want to know more about that little cask. My interest has been piqued on trying a cask ale.

I didn't meet the guy that made but I do know a fair amount about cask. We've been doing a grassroots cask event in Boston for just over 20 years now. Nerax.org
my buddy Randy even wrote a book about it. https://www.amazon.com/Hosting-Cask-.../dp/1682738531
it's all based on CAMRA in the UK where cask is common. Sadly, having a cask at a beer bar in the US isn't really profitable.
gotta make it to this event on of these years The Great British Beer Festival https://www.gbbf.org.uk/

I'll tell you about The HF Edward we had on cask. beer nerds lose their minds !

I’ll probably try the “put a keg on its side” trick at some point. I have a 3gal keg that would probably fit in a dorm fridge that I could put on the counter so I can pour with gravity.

Split batch sour blonde. Half on peaches, half on apricots. The base was pretty tasty.

My extract porter is ready to drink. It came out very well. Quite chocolatey and a little sweet. I usually drink hop forward beers, so this is a nice change of pace.

I have a ton of apple trees. How hard is it to press a good cider? It Looks labor and time intensive

It’s easy if you have a cider press, carboys, know about fermentation and sanitation, etc. Otherwise consider it just this side of alchemy.

FD - we will likely be up your way next weekend. I’ll text you.

Belle Saison IPA. It’s a touch darker than normal as I pitched it on the yeast cake of the black Saison above.
