$1.01 - $1.04 / litre in Calgary. Amazing how a sudden spike in oil prices is imediately seen at the pumps, however a decrease in crude takes months to show up.

$2.849 here in WI as of yesterday. I talked to two people yesterday who traded in their gas guzzling van and SUV for a Chrysler Pacifica (still sucks gas but better than the 13 mpg she was getting before) and a Toyota Prius. So some good is coming out of this.

$3.29 in Mammoth last w/e and $3.04 in Temecula this morning. Trip to Mammoth and back now running me $120 each w/e, ouch...gotta love taking it up the ass so oil companies can keep reporting record earnings each quarter.

Hey Viva--noticed your location is now Swamis, I was just there (and at Pipes) lon a new longboard last Tues-Thurs...are you hitting the waves in Encinitas now?

Roo, it is the Euro that is primarily driving our high gas prices. Fuckin Frogs and Krauts again with the problems.

Gas prices are a great example of people making irrational "feel good" choices that don't necessarily make good economic sense (eg: spending $ on a new high efficiency car instead of keeping the old guzzler going).

Funny how gases prices go up EVERY single summer. Every year there is some other reason.

Remember way back, a long time ago, when it was .99 a gallon and less. Man, I remember pushing my Honda into a gas station in highschool and filling up at less than .90 I believe. This was in the 80's of course. Just remembering the good days when you could put in 5.00 and not get laughed at.
