I feel like someone here has Griffons, and I can’t remember who. My wife is looking at them pretty seriously and I was wondering if they were wanderers. We’ve had herding dogs for the past 15 years and they rarely get out of sight from you. Off leash in the mountains they want to stay pretty close to their pack. How are the griffons? Can you trust them off leash or do they like to chase every butterfly?

Training is important for sure, but what is their nature?

I’m getting pushback from the wife for a spring pup. Wants to travel more.

Makes those 35 year old MILFs with an 8 year old, that more attractive.
I am sure your wife wouldn't mind.

This guy rolled under our bed last night, and ended up getting stuck. He wasn’t pinched or anything, just slid under there sideways while chasing dream squirrels and couldn’t crawl back out. He just chilled quietly until I lifted the bed to let him out this morning.
    focus.

I had to laugh as that is our two to a T at meal time. They always eat all of their food, but I guess I am starving them?

we had a husky growing up who figured out door knobs (knob & lever) -- he was never one to close a door tho...just open it if it's in the way

I work with high schoolers who treat doors similarly. They may or may not be smarter then your husky was.

My pomsky scared me this afternoon. I tried to take him out for a Nordic ski, and he started out high energy, bounding through yesterday's snow, but then sat down and curled up five yards past the edge of the back yard. Picked him up, and he didn't squirm like he usually does when lifted, so I carried him back to the house, worried that he'd caught a hidden stick or old barbed wire.

The second I was across the threshold into the house, he started squirming to get down. Since then, he's been his normal self.

So I guess the moral is: at 12 degrees, belly-deep snow quickly gets to be a bit much.

Nice picture Striker. Next time, skootch the f-stop up to 11 or 22 and you'll get a lovely starburst over his head and he'll look positively angelic
