^^^ man, I wish my dogs were like that. One of them literally whimpers with excitement when he even sees a lake, but when it comes to bath time he's Meryl Streep with his 'this water is torture' act.

Anyone? Buehler? From the Blue Mountain Human Society in W2

Duke has been here for 103 days today. We think that’s a little too long. Right now, he’s our “HOW HAS NOBODY COME TO GET THIS DOG YET” dog. Here is the list of things which have me thinking “if people just knew, they’d be lining up in droves…”:

-He’s really soft. He doesn’t look like he should be as soft as he is. But he’s got, like, almost a mane around his neck – there’s a good two inches of floof to wiggle your fingers into when you’re giving him face-skritches. But not, like, puffy floof. Satin-y floof. You should probably come hug him to find out what I’m talking about.

-He’s unreasonably adorable in how he runs up to say hello, now that he knows who’s who around here. I pull my car into a spot, and if Duke is out, he’s already galumphing across the yard with his tail wagging to tell me good morning.

-He’s smart, and good at learning when he’s motivated. Like for example… when he runs tail-wagging up to the fence, he doesn’t leap up with two paws up doing a *bork* (which he did when he first got here) – he stops politely on all fours (well, a few little excited tippy-tap dances), with that tail wagging, hoping to get a gentle nose-boop through the fence. Day after day, being told he needs to put his paws on the floor before he gets a treat… it’s sticking! Good boy, Duke.

-He wears that doggy smile All The Time. He just looks… happy. In that way that is contagious. I can’t remember a time I’ve caught a glimpse of Duke without smiling.

-He’s so strong and fast and… like… healthy. If you want someone to train for a marathon with you, Duke is totally down for it. (And then he’d really like some hugs afterwards).

    -HE'S SO GOOD AT FETCH.

-He gives good hugs. Having a bad day? Wrap your arms around Duke. He exudes “feel better.”
    Him’s a Good Boy.

This boy needs room to run, scents to explore & people to love...he may even be a great running buddy (he's actually pretty good on his harness)
Come meet this this guy, feel his energy....feel his affection....be his person & family

    Bluemountainhumane.org/dogs
Check him out on the website, fill out an app, come meet him, ask us all the questions (maybe we know the answers), take him for a free 3-day home trial to make sure he's the doggy of your dreams. (I bet he is).

This is Juno - she'll be coming home with us in 3 weeks. Time to puppy-proof the house! (and see how Pete the cat likes having a little sister around).

    And yep.

Last night was fun. He cried so hard that my 6 year old dog went and stood beside the kennel and cried with him for a while.
