Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to your body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much: I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

this guy had to shoot over to the vet last night to get a good puke induced. Knocked something over, got into some (a dozen) of smaller chicken wing bones.
If he sneaks a wing when we are out in the city on a walk it’s nbd…12 is problematic.
Pics of his puke bucket (going on the fridge) available upon request.Decisions Decisions

The are a scrawny breed. I was told by the breeder he’s a Llewellin but I haven’t verified.

Kitten in the sheets, tiger in the streets. If anyone wants a shelter pit that's a world champ couch snuggler but reactive to animals and people, boy do I have a dog for you.

Was working from home the other day and took Juno out for a quick walk through the yard. I was checking out how the river was flowing (about 4 feet deep right now, 3 feet below the top of the bank, and moving pretty good) when Juno decided that it was a good time to absolutely send it off the bank into the river, despite having never gone swimming before. I was ready to jump in after her but she just paddled around a bit, then swam back to the bank and climbed out before she had gone too far downstream. So I guess we know she likes water now.... although she was ready to go back inside and sit in front of the fire after that experience.

My faithful companion Connor turned 16 years old today. He has been the most amazing dog and been with me through so much. I’ll never be able to repay him.
So what do I do to thank him for so many years of joy? Bring home his great-nephew to torment him on a daily basis. Just kidding. Shep, now almost 8 months, has kept him on his toes and young and Connor has been a better teacher than I could ever be.
To another year of health and happiness!
I still call it The Jake.
