LOL, never seen a dog like that. Looks like part primate, part bear, part dog.

We’ve had Kelsey for five weeks. Her coat is getting thick, which vet thought she would, thinking she blew coat after first heat, before she got taken in. Doesn’t think she had a litter.
She’s put on 5 lbs since we had her. Getting muscle in shoulder and hips, and I think she’s grown a bit in height. As of a couple of weeks ago, she was 63 lbs. , thinking she is closer to one, per vet, and behavior. Guessing when full grown, in a year or so, she’ll be 72-75. Good size for a GSD. Good girl, we got a good one.Quando paramucho mi amore de felice carathon.

Irul, that's a beautiful dog.
Jackstraw I'm laughing thinking about cleaning up them pups. They are loving that water.

Thankfully after the mud hole there is a little pond available and that cleans most of the mud off. The yellow cannot stay out of the water and really digs getting completely submerged. I've never had a dog quite like her. She lays down in streams or any bed of water and just chills for a bit.

Doggie stoke
Anyone had issues with blue green algae in their areas? I look at dirty water and my pup totally differently after hearing the stories.

Thanks for posting that. I've had concerns and brought it up to my vet and they don't seem too worried. My dogs do get a shot for leptospirosis, but I'd have to research that to see if its for green blue algae also.
I do use some sort of alcohol based ear cleanser the vet gave me after they swim also.

3 more deceased pooches since this article - makes a total of 9 this summer.

Also crushed the local economy with a no swimming in effect all summer.
eta; the above notice is somewhat misleading. Lake Hopatcong- largest lake in NJ... 9 dogs and 2 young men (boating accidents) died just in this lake. Plenty of sick locals who disregard notices and high profile warnings.
a rough year - one to forgetI am not in your hurry
