My dog keeps tearing up his ankle pads- the ones above his foot/ankle joint. Its especially bad in spring snow or when chasing a ball at full speed then throwing the brakes on and sliding to a stop. Are there doggie anklewarmers or something like that to protect those pads? His paw pads are nice and calloused up so a bootie isnt needed, and because the ankle pad doesnt get used during normal activity he doesnt limp or seemingly get hurt by it, even when there is blood splattered all over his white coat.
Thinking about having the wife to sew some ghetto ankle warmers out of beer coozies, but would rather buy a "real" product meant for this.

Casper and his popcorn obsession. He is obsessed with everything actually. I love him, even if he is an asshole.

Hey dog guys and gals! I am now a very very proud papa of a new puppy named Maisie. She's a catahoula/white shepherd; border collie; catahoula cross and is absolutely adorable. I got her from a buddy in Rossland who (along with his wife and a bunch of doggies) over about 15 years or so have been trying to make the ultimate bike/ski dog. Well, I do know that this little girl has got me by the heartstrings like immediately, and it was tough to give up her sister when we got back to town.
As we were leaving Rossland and my buddy (and the breeder) had to go back to work, she got a text that one of her chosen clients had to last minute cancel, just as a buddy back in Terrace (who had seen pics of Maisie the night before) asked if there was any (of the 13 puppies) that were not spoken for. Well turns out my friends had a waiting list, but they allowed my pal in Terrace to get a puppy! So now my little gal has a sibling in town for ski and bike adventures (my pal does both). I also asked the lucky mom if she wouldn't mind regular play dates, and she replied that she was actually looking for some dog sitting help anyway and so that Maisie will have plenty of chances to play with her sister as we could certainly help em out with dog sitting duties! I am beyond stoked!
After a 4 day journey back from Rossland, including 2 nights in Kelowna and a night in PG, we got Maisie home and separated her from her sister yesterday. She's totally well adjusted and I would estimate we've done at least 8 circumnavigations pf the yard (we've about an acre). She's already chasing balls and running beside while stopping when you stop. SHE'S SO SMART!! hahah. Anyway after 50 years between puppies I think I was due. Mrs GfT is also thrilled with our new baby!!

Sleeping today, she's brave she doesn't even need her bed! What a good doggie. SHE'S SO SMART!!Last edited by garyfromterrace; 11-09-2020 at 12:36 AM.
