Our little cockapoo is very independent, spends a lot of time in rooms alone and if she's in a room with us is on a dog bed or on a sofa or chair by herself. But about six weeks ago I had a bad crash, was in the hospital for 10 days. Since I've been home I've been hobbling around with a walker and spending most of my time in a lazy boy, with Cleo snuggled up against me. I guess she's looking after me until I get better.

Coincidentally, this is Cleo as well. And like your Cleo, she's wise.

Does your Cleo piss in the spare bedroom when she doesn't feel like going out the dog door? Our Cleo is actually Cleopatra, but her full name is longer than she is.

No, she isn't destructive in any way, doesn't sleep on the couch when we aren't home, doesn't dig holes in the back yard, etc. She will chase (and kill) critters, which I'm not too happy about, but is otherwise a great dog.

    Our other dog however...

hmmm, reminds me of our dog in my youth. he would pee on the curtains enough to the point my mom had enough and finally started putting a diaper on him inside. mom was entitled to do that, but I just felt sorry for him, male to male; very humiliating.

of course today, diapers for people are fashionable; wth.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

His name is Grumbles....bc he looks like he’s grumbly all the time, but he’s really just a big mush. If 80# lapdogs are your thing, it’s hard to beat American Bulldog.

    Doggie stoke

A month in and Remy has definitely made himself at home. Pretty sure he’s got romantic feelings for the llamas in our neighborhood. The llamas run up to the fence every time he walks by, and Remy just sits and stares at them - basically have to drag him away!

Haha, yeah, 99% is about right. He’s too lazy to run far, about a half mile is as far as he can get. The dude will walk forever though and he loves car rides. Gonna be making a road trip out your way sometime in the near future - once you meet Remy, you’ll understand why 99% of the photo stream is dog pics!
