This old girl is 15 and now just snoozes in my office every day rather than running around scaring wildlife. She earned her downtime. Click image for larger version.

Alright, what are y'all using for vacuuming?

90% laminate flooring, with a few rugs and a couch thrown in. My Bissell hard floor expert sucks, err doesn't suck? and I'm sick of lushit furballs around.

The knockoff Roomba is OK, but cannot be left unattended with dummy, so it defeats the purpose....

I have a Dyson Animal to do the whole house and then a Shark Rocket Pet Corded Stick Vacuum when I am just touching up. Both work great.

Dummy goes outside to recharge her solar powered batteries while the knockoff Roomba cleans up. My wife and I both hate vacuuming and the knockoff Roomba does a good enough job as long as you make sure to do a bit of prep work to make sure it doesn't eat a shoelace or charger cable.

    ^ that's awesome.

Young but grey-faced dawg fitting in with the old guys at World Telemark Day. She also did very well at being sort-of off-leash, in that I let her roam on the long line and was more or less on her own all day. This was the most freedom she has had since we adopted her and she did really well. She stayed on the trails, stuck with the group, came when called (for the most part) and ran madly down the powder runs after us. Baby steps:

I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

That is the best feeling in the world when the new pup trusts and likes you enough to come back.

Lots of speculation over the years as she was a rescue. Some think catahoula which checks a lot of boxes. But I think she’s too sweet for that and a lab of some sort shagged an aussie and we got this one. Lab body, aussie color, herder, swimmer.

Looks a lot like ours. Husky/Australian shepherd mix, but I’ve never been totally sold on the Australian shepherd given his slender build.

He’s got such a positive reaction to being toweled off after getting wet, that now he loves being covered by a towel anytime.
