    Doggie stoke

First puppy class with Luna yesterday - she was a star and hopefully stays the course re that mindset (if we survive the teenage zone without regression, I’ll be psyched)
I smiled the whole time - 6 goofy carefree distracted pups ranging in age from 9wks to 5.5mo
Luna is 14wks & about 14lbs - there was a golden there also 14wks, but twice her size. His name was “Clark”, which I thought was awesome.
Luna has learned the invisible fence (woohoo!), and we can start getting her more unleashed time in the yard (tho it has to be supervised until she’s bigger with coyotes in the adjacent forest)

Luna & side-eye aggrieved grumpy Stella

This guy will walk a mile with a stick in his mouth. Occasionally getting caught on trees and sprinting past you taking out your knees.

    Gorgeous pups.

My neighbor has two big ol mutts that occasionally go walkabout at a very leisurely pace. I found them and brought them home one night and noticed their collars that were embroidered with their name and the name of the other dog (cause apparently they go everywhere together and look alike).

One said “I’m Clark, my brother is Carl” and the other said “I’m Carl, my brother is Clark”

I almost bought them both beers on the spot I was laughing so hard.
I still call it The Jake.

Congrats to Trumpet the bloodhound. My bloodhound is an evil bitch, but he looks like a good boy.

We got a Lab puppy 2 weeks ago, is there anything a lab won't try to put in its mouth? Lol. She's the sweetest, cuddliest little thing I've met in a long time. Click image for larger version.

If you have a lab, you need to remove all objects smaller than a Mack truck. Seriously. You've been warned.

We got lucky and our lab grew out of it after six months or so. That’s not always the case. Make sure they have lots of good chew toys around that are more enticing than whatever else is around. (This is a mitigation tactic not a solution)

What’s funny is how good Trumpet looks on all those photos. I don’t have any normal looking photos of my hound running. Her face is too floppy.

LOL. No. Chew until two, shed until dead. The crate is your friend. I couldn’t leave Rosie alone for more than 15 min. She ate part of a sofa AFTER a two hour walk.

Luckily, when she turned two, it was like switch turned off. She still loves to carry toys and stuff, but doesn’t destroy anything.
