That’s crazy. Charly is a coonhound/lab mix, but has much more hound-y features. Still is all black and webbed feet and has a lot of lab temperament.
Our friend who we got her from said the rest of the litter looked more like the mom who was a lab. They probably look a lot more like your pup.

We met his older sister and a litter mate when he was 15 weeks old. His older sister looked like a svelte lab with long ears and his litter mate looked like him. He’s a lot larger than his older sister (20-30lbs more). This summer he briefly played with a full male lab who was really big (tall). Owner said that he was about 110lb. Biggest lab I’ve seen.

I actually swam after him. I didn't want him getting into the poison oak and he's a wonderer. He got a good roll in whatever it was (under a larger boulder).
Earlier this summer he chased some juvenile ducks across a lake during a game of fetch. He didn't catch them because some kayakers intercepted him. His call back attitude is "sure I'll do that until there's something fantastic to distract me."

I had to test the call back today in the woods when the older one found a feral cat that clearly wasn't paying attention and never saw both coming. Got the golden to recall after a few strong calls but the lab wasn't having it and cornered whiskers against an old fence line. A 10 minute barking/hissing staredown ensued. I finally tossed a stick to startle her and gave the kitty a chance to save a life and scurry up a tree. Past experience with other cats, possums, groundhogs, snakes and unfortunately skunks is if I come too close she goes in to attack mode...the TN hound dog in her likes the hunt and kill.

Huskies and a fire hydrant. All is good. (Especially with a brewery)
