One in the same. They are great dogs but stubborn. Don't skimp on the training and you will be rewarded!

pretty long ears, some extra skin on his face, extra skin around a lot of his body, eye droop, jowls, bigger nose part of the face than a lab, webbed feet, double coat, barks and has deep loud bay, big chest, temperament is a mixture of what i've read about bloodhounds and my experience with labs, very outgoing social, 90 lbs.
That’s crazy. Charly is a coonhound/lab mix, but has much more hound-y features. Still is all black and webbed feet and has a lot of lab temperament.

Our friend who we got her from said the rest of the litter looked more like the mom who was a lab. They probably look a lot more like your pup.

We met his older sister and a litter mate when he was 15 weeks old. His older sister looked like a svelte lab with long ears and his litter mate looked like him. He’s a lot larger than his older sister (20-30lbs more). This summer he briefly played with a full male lab who was really big (tall). Owner said that he was about 110lb. Biggest lab I’ve seen.

That 2nd face pic looks like part Rotty, but the body doesn't look that big. Bet they had to twist your arm pretty good to take him home

“That invisible thing across the river smells great and is definitely more interesting than this fetch game. The next time you throw my toy, I will swim, catch the toy, and continue to swim to the other bank full of poison oak and investigate this wonderful smell.”

I know that game all too well but mine would take the toy over, find that wonderful smell and roll in it then return without the toy!

This one however, can not go anywhere without her ball.

I actually swam after him. I didn't want him getting into the poison oak and he's a wonderer. He got a good roll in whatever it was (under a larger boulder).

Earlier this summer he chased some juvenile ducks across a lake during a game of fetch. He didn't catch them because some kayakers intercepted him. His call back attitude is "sure I'll do that until there's something fantastic to distract me."

I had to test the call back today in the woods when the older one found a feral cat that clearly wasn't paying attention and never saw both coming. Got the golden to recall after a few strong calls but the lab wasn't having it and cornered whiskers against an old fence line. A 10 minute barking/hissing staredown ensued. I finally tossed a stick to startle her and gave the kitty a chance to save a life and scurry up a tree. Past experience with other cats, possums, groundhogs, snakes and unfortunately skunks is if I come too close she goes in to attack mode...the TN hound dog in her likes the hunt and kill.

Nothing like a little dog stoke... just a couple of inches fell last night, but after the hot summer, he's definitely happier with the colder temps!
