He knows it's not comfortable but he saw the human sitting there and thought he'd give it a try.

Looking for advice. We have an aging dog who has been needing more assistance the past few months. As you see, we even have to put him in a lifter sometimes just to get him to the yard (there's a few steps). I have no idea how to be prepared for winter... he's having trouble and the weather is nice so I'm looking for any tips or tricks anyone has... and our dog loves winter so I'm hoping it helps perk him up a bit.
Figured you'd be a good group to ask.

And just little things like making sure there’s no ice on the walkways bc it’s so heartbreaking when they slip. I also started stomping out an area in the yard bc our old buddy was too pooped to walk thru even a couple inches of snow last winter. But he appreciated going out and getting fresh air- mostly just would stand there
vibes. winter is so hard on old things

I cut an old LL Bean bag down the narrow sides and used it as a sling to help my old down up steps.
