We’ve got our name on a litter for this winter, but still kinda iffy on whether to follow through…plenty of time to figure it out. Stella will be 6 in Sept. I do think she misses Echo like we do.
I think six is a good age for a companion pup. Old enough that they can teach the youngun some good habits, but young enough to keep up.

Sorry to read that mofro. It seemed yesterday going touring up FFF/Hidden valley.

Moira went for her first canoe ride today. Her PFD is a bit big but, hey, it was free. She did well and clearly does not like to get her feet wet. Couldn't even convince her to try some dog paddling back at the beach.

This little rescue out of Tennessee has turned out pretty sweet. The terrier in her definitely fuels the hunting instinct, she's got a number of squirrels chipmunks and snakes under her belt in the first year.

That has always been a problem for me. I keep telling myself that when Gunther & Maya pass, I need to go a few years without a best friend, so we can travel, yada yada, but I don't know how I am going to make it. Every day with them is my best day evar. Time to go give Gunther a bath.

Hazel, Labradoodle, 9 weeks old. We said goodbye to our 14 yo therapy trained black lab in the spring. This bundle of cuteness continues the cycle.

Kelsey on the left and her buddy Kayman in the foreground. If you took the goofiest friendly lab you ever met and put him in a body of a 110 lb Shepherd, that’s Kayman. Good thing he’s such a friendly guy, beacause he is scary strong.

Picked up foster #34 (?) with Safe Harbor Lab Rescue this morning, Izzy is a ~5 yr old black female lab that was surrendered by her owners earlier this week. She's super sweet, loves to fetch and play in the water, and gets along with our two labs very well. She's definitely the type of dog we'd keep... if our house was big enough and I could deal with three young labs.

Was nervous this dude was gonna be a complete disaster on our recent 4 day canoe trip -- but he totally rocked it. Got in, stayed put, and even took a little nap.

That first picture I already put money on the Border Collie coming up with the ball. Looks like I was right, but in the end he lost two of his own.

Poor boy. At least he's got good company and good looks!

What up SUF! Yeah he is quickly turning into a dog and has definitely filled out since you two met. Still some pup left in him though.
