Doggie stoke
She’s the best. Pretty funny and strange that she loves big men, with or without beards, that have a strong personality. Absolutely can’t stand little guys and most women, unless the woman is actually able to assert herself. Most pits have a thing against uniforms, she loves cops and military. True Man’s best friend.
Long day at work and she had a 40 hour week so she’s pretty happy now. Had a good chew session and now it’s sleep.

I think it was a 2017 burn. I felt so bad because I took Walter and not his brother Rocky. I'm still working with rocky(rescue) to control his barking at other dogs and people. He's not aggressive but his bark is intimidating and I don't want to be that guy on the trail.
Love seeing the happy pits and other good bois. No bad dogs just bad owners...
p.s. there were a ton of frogs/toads at the lake so maybe it was for the best with rocky's recent history.

Moira is pretty chill once in the canoe but getting her in is a different story. She is not a big fan of the water, will wade in a bit to get a drink but that's about it. I've coaxed her to wade in up to her chest on occasion but then she freaks out and heads for shore. I Installed the doggie PFD on shore, got in the canoe, then got her down to the boat. She wanted to get in the canoe behind me, which was no bueno. Tried to get her in ahead of me, much resistance. Grabbed the handles on the PFD to haul her in, she wriggled out (it is a bit big on her), which also pulled off her collar. Fawk! Quickly grabbed her by the scruff, reinstalled collar and hauled her into the canoe. After that she was fine.

Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to your body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much: I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

Dog following behind must be programmed into deep into their brains. Follow the alpha, especially if things get scary. Whenever I absolutely need my dog in front of me, he always wants to be behind me. Hilarity of the not always funny to me kind inevitably ensues. Cue the yakkity sax.

Of course just now the opposite happened. I almost ate it on the stairs carrying a huge load of laundry. He insisted on being in front and barking at danger! I tripped on him. And there's a serious weight mismatch so if I step on him, he could get kilt.
