My 12 year old dog on her second course of chemo has caught a rabbit and a snake in the last month. Here she is walking our kid. Click image for larger version.

A hiker in the Cascades was saved by his husky, who pulled him back up. His hiking partner was not as lucky. Vibes to the partner. Medal of honor to the dog

Meet the newest member of TheFugitive's wolfpack. This is Lotus (my daughter named her) but we all call her Lo. First puppy weve had in 20 years after adopting many grown and senior dogs. Half cairn terrier half cattle dog/heeler mix. We are in cuteness overload. So cute its not fair. So cute it hurts. Name: 20180605_162450.jpeg

that cd be a great mix- the determination of a cairn terrier (I have one of those and they are -ahem- a handful although so endearing it's nbd) but the cow dog/ heeler could a good cross- a focused breed.
Our terrier also is very easy to train and so should be easy peasy with the cow dog mix too . yes pls update with how she grows- I'd be interested to see how big she gets- guessing maybe 25-30 lbs max
I like your other little dog too- cutesy and patient with the new pack member

Sometimes two are easier than one. They keep each other company and no boredom=less destructive behavior.

OTOH...sometimes they just encourage each other

We got our 2nd so our 1st would stop harassing us to play ALL. DAY. LONG. Now they play together and we are just for cuddles. It’s perfect. Couldn’t be happier with two.

We’ve been struggling with this, too. Our pup is well behaved that she could easily teach another dog to be good. OR another dog could just teach her bad habits.

Two dogs are much easier than one in my opinion. I currently have three though with my lab being 14 I don't think it will be long before I'm back to two. I got my brittany earlier this year because I don't want my english setter, who is now 9 to be alone. She went from her littermates to my home which had my lab so she's never been alone. I was worried how my setter would react to suddenly being alone and how her behavior may change. With my brittany now big enough to play I'm not worried anymore.

Just went to the shelter to look at one I saw on website and fell in love with another one. She couldn't be any sweeter.

Wife is on her way with Shitface to do meet and greet.

If all goes well I'm taking her home today

Wide-faced girl 😁. Tan version of our neighbor's sweet pittie.

Hope Shitface gets along. Good on ya for going to the shelter.

    Doggie stoke

    Plot twist...

She was adopted 15 minutes after I left to go back to office for a minute.

Adopted the girl I went there to see in the first place...also a sweetheart...a little weary of me at first but licking my face within a couple minutes of meeting her.

Barked at me the first time I went to her kennel but when I came back in front of her kennel after I came back to the shelter she came right up and licked me.

Unfortunately no pics...taken down off website already and don't pickup till Wed after she's spayed

She was fine with Shitface...tried to approach him the whole time but he was being a spaz after car ride so we kept him back a little

Wife and I are having a good laugh about their two worlds colliding cause he's a rescue from Tennessee and she's from the hood in Rochester
