Well, yesterday I let my beat up commuter at the Honda dealer for a serious tune up, tyres changes, the whole deal, and ask for the courtesy bike they were supposed to lend me.
Turns out that all what was left was this :
I thought I would share."Typically euro, french in particular, in my opinion. It's the same skiing or climbing there. They are completely unfazed by their own assholeness. Like it's normal." - srsosbso

Long story short.....I bought a wrecked FZR 600 (I love these bikes) and rebuilt it. Few odds and ends left, but finished most of it today, and went out for a ride.....this bike is soooo fun to ride. Here she is-

nice job!
how wrecked was it? i used to have a fzr 1000, but after bouncing it down the side of a mountain in a 80 mph highside i didnt think there was much point in trying to fix it."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Nothin like a little flat black and stove paint to spruce up the bike. Looks tight!

A shot of the Thruxton on a recent trip with my dad. This was near the Gunnison Black Canyon area.

It was totaled by an insurance company and has a salvaged title. Replaced a TON of shit on it...all plastics, mirrors, windshield, engine covers, signals, fairings, r6 front brake system, battery, tires, instrument cluster, left and right switches..and much more. You get the point.

Looks like Jeremy Jones has a pretty nice bike.

A little late in the year, but here's my current ride - 02 RC51.
sadly up for sale, but might as well share the stoke while it's still hanging around. As much as the new I4 liter bikes have eclipsed it in terms of raw HP, the massive torque everywhere in the powerband has made me a v-twin believer for life. This thing fucking rocks. No, the real point is, I don't give a damn

Bought this Aprilia Futura from a guy in CA. last month and shipped it here.
I have been too busy to register it till this week. Rode 250 miles yesterday
and can't wait to get out again. Not as edgy as My RSV but way more comfy long distance. It is no slouch on the AP Gap eitherwww.apriliaforum.com

Larry and crew sure did their homework when building this track. It's now reputed to be the best roadracing track in the country. All the World Superbike and AMA Superbike guys were raving about it when the races were there in June.
As for camera setup, I used this mount along with a Sony DSC-W55 still camera with the video function turned on. It worked out better than expected. You can position the mounted camera so that you can get into a full tuck without your helmet/chest hitting the camera and still get a good shot of the tach/speedo.
How about a maggot trackday in 09 at Miller? That'd be a riot.SELECT IQ
